Transforming your skin is easy with the IPL Photorejuvenation. This non-invasive treatment is ideal for skin care concerns ranging from redness and rosacea to broken capillaries to age spots, sun spots, discoloration and hyperpigmentation.
IPL Photorejuvenation is performed with a non-ablative laser that has been carefully calibrated to seek out specific pigments in the skin - redness, darker discolored patches or dark spots.
The IPL photofacial process causes collagen and blood vessels below the epidermis to constrict, reducing redness and age lines. The procedure involves minimal discomfort, feeling like the mild snapping of rubber bands against the skin's surface.
This is a single treatment, which requires approximately 20 - 30 minutes to be performed, depending on the area being treated.
Only skin types I – IV may have these treatments.
Skin types V and VI cannot be treated. Skin type IV’s require a test spot, and use of a skin lightening kit for 3-4 weeks prior to their first treatment to limit the potential for their skin to over-react to the light.
Photorejuvenation may not be performed on individuals with melasma.
